At 0809 hrs. Holbrook was activated for a garage fire located at 121 Schmidt Street. Arriving SCPD units reported structure heavily involved. Arriving units did encounter a two story wood frame residential structure with garage and contents heavily involved with extension to above bedrooms. Immediate activation of the mutual aid plan brought neighboring departments to the scene to assist. Mutual aid was supplied by Holtsville, Sayville, Lakeland, Blue Point, and Bayport Fire Departments. There were no reported injuries to any civilian or firefighters.
