Once again the members of the Holbrook Fire Department participated in the Tunnel to Towers Run in NYC running in memory of Ex-Chief Gerry Schrang who was a member of FDNY Rescue 3. This year over 30,000 participants ventured the course from Brooklyn to Manhattan by way of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel the longest underground tunnel in North America at 1.7 miles. The race is organized by the Steven Siller Foundation and has been a success since it's inception in 2002.
