On Saturday February 23 at approximatly 2215hrs Farmingville Fire Department who was standing by for Holtsville was activated for a signal 13 on Jamaica Ave. Upon arrival Farmingville requested mutual aid for a fully envolved house fire. Holbrook's Engine 2 responded and was second due. After several attemps by Farmingville, Medford and Engine 2's crew to make an agressive attack all operating lines were pulled out and a defensive attack was established. Although a hydrant was located directly in front of the residence the secondary water supply was a strech of 1200 feet. Departments that were requested were Farmingville, Medford, North Patchogue, Selden and Holbrook units 3-15-2, 3-15-6, and 3-15-5. For full photo gallery go to the below link
