Five Injured in Memorial Weekend Accident

On Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 1230 Holbrook was activated for an MVA at CR 97 and Greenbelt Parkway. Chief Pendl arriving at the scene notified units of multiple aided and requested additional ambulances and ALS to respond. Five patients were transported, all to Stony Brook University. The two most serious were a fractured femur and fractured pelvis. Extrication was completed quickly with the crews of Engine 5 and Rescue 7.
