At 5:30 am Holbrook Fire Department responded to a house fire. All the occupants had escaped the house with no injuries. Upon arrival they could not get water from the hydrant closest to the house because the water inside the hydrant was frozen. As flames were blowing fifteen feet out of the roof, they quickly found another hydrant up the block from the fully involved house. The crews were able to contain the fire, but would have shaved minutes off their attack time had it not been for the frigid temperatures.
