At 1645 hrs. Holbrook was activated for a residential kitchen fire on Birchdale Drive in Holbrook. Chief Apostle arriving at the scene first advised that smoke was showing and advise first arriving apparatus to secure a water supply. Aggressive initial attack from Engine 1 kept damage to the kitchen and extension was minimal throughout the residence. There were no reported injuries, all units were back in service by 1810 and the scene was turned over to Town of Islip Fire Marshall.
