During the early morning hours of January 28th, the Holbrook FD responded to this a Signal 16/23-Motor Vehicle Accident involving Suffolk County Police on Sunrise Highway, in the vicinity of Nicolls Road. Headquarters Engine 6 was operating at another alarm nearby and promptly responded when the accident came over the radio. Upon arrival, Captain J. Stahl advised of a 2-Car MVA with an overturn and no patients pinned and only 1 patient needing assistance, the Suffolk Officer. Asst. Chiefs Heinssen & Bodor arrived a short time later.
Approximately 27 minutes into the alarm, Asst. Chief Heinssen placed a Signal 4-Under control on the alarm as the Suffolk Officer was Transported to an area hospital. All units were released accordingly.
