At 0915 hrs. Holbrook was notified of a residential fire located in the Spruce Pond Apartments located off of Sunrise Hwy. Engine 2 arriving first on scene with Lt. Beck and a light crew was met with heavy smoke emitting from the residence and transmitted a working fire which activated the mutual aid response plan. Engine 6 arriving also with a short crew picked up a water supply and assisted with an aggressive interior attack. Fire was contained to the laundry room and limited extension into the living room with no extension to the second floor. Arriving mutual aid departments assisted in search and overhaul and there were no injuries reported.
