IT WAS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Holbrook Fire District at a duly scheduled and convened meeting of the Board on this date that the Board having duly enacted an Emergency Declaration at a Special Emergency Meeting of the Board on March 31, 2020 to deal with COVID-19 National and Statewide Virus Pandemic, and that in advance of and since the adoption of the Emergency Declaration the Board has kept fully informed of the current and continuing public health and safety concerns. The Board further declared that in a time of an extreme and unprecedented emergency and potential disaster of this magnitude, it is incumbent upon the local, State, national governments and the governments around the globe and their elected officials, to act decisively, and in doing so and in an abundance of caution to take all measures necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the members of the Holbrook Fire Department and their families, the employees and representatives of the Holbrook Fire District and their families, the residents of the Holbrook Fire District and all other members of the public. Furthermore, the Emergency Declaration of March 31, 2020 having expressly reserved the right of the Board to make any further Orders it seems necessary with respect to the Emergency Declaration which currently is in place until April 30. 2020.

Accordingly, by unanimous decision and Order of the Board of Fire Commissioners this date, the Board hereby declares and reaffirms that in light of the continuation of the COVID-19 Pandemic and its catastrophic risks and effects, and the indeterminate period of time at present that it may continue, each and all of the provisions of its Emergency Declaration of March 31,2020, were hereby reaffirmed and kept in place and the term of the Emergency Declaration is hereby extended from April 30, 2020 until May 31, 2020.

Accordingly, by unanimous decision and Order of the Board of Fire Commissioners on May 26, 2020 at a duly convened public meeting of the Board, the Board hereby declare and reaffirmed by resolution that in light of the continuation of the COVID-19 Pandemic and its catastrophic risks and effects, and the indeterminate period of time at present that it may continue, each and all of the provisions of its Emergency Declaration of March 31, 2020, were hereby reaffirmed and kept in place and the term of the Emergency Declaration wwas thereby extended from May 31, 2020 until June 30, 2020 and the proposed protocol for phase I reopening activities was then and there also enacted by Board resolution.

As the situation evolves the Board of Fire Commissioners will keep all updated and will, as deemed necessary, extend, amend, modify, or vacate, the Emergency Declaration and the time period of the Orders issued and declared under the Emergency Declaration, and issue any further Orders and directive deemed necessary for the public health, safety and welfare which is the paramount concern and objective of all.
