Dear Neighbors:

The Holbrook Fire Department continues to be available to respond to all emergencies but we ask that you help us and follow these precautions during the COVID-19 outbreak.

If you are quarantined (mandatory or self imposed) in your home due to possible or confirmed COVID-19 exposure, Please notify 911 when you call and advise the dispatcher.

We also ask that you alert our volunteers responding to your home to take infection prevention precautions before entering your home or business. We need to protect our crews so that they will be able to continue to meet the emergency needs of our community.

Throughout the United States there have been entire fire and EMS agencies quarantined after they have responded to quarantined homes and they were never alerted to the potential hazard before entering.
Those first responders are now unavailable to help anyone for at least 14 days.

The Holbrook Fire Department would like to take this time to offer any assistance to our more senior population. If you live alone or know someone that does please contact the Holbrook Fire Department at (631) 588-0099 or email FireSafety@holbrookalarms.com. We will have someone contact you in order to identify our neighbors who may need special attention.

On behalf of all the chiefs, officers, and members of the Holbrook Fire Department, thank you for your consideration in this request and be safe.

James Bodor
Chief of the Department
