On Sunday 04/09 Holbrook was activated for an automatic alarm at Popei's Restaurant located at 299 Raft Ave. Dispatch at the same time was receiving via landline a report of a kitchen fire. Chief Heinssen upon arrival reported heavy fire conditions and transmitted a working fire with request to activate mutual aid response. arriving units found heavy fire in the kitchen area and fire had already extended to the roof through the exhaust vent chase area. Two attack lines advanced through the front entrances and an additional line advanced through the number 2 kitchen entrance. Responding mutual aid sent one tower two engines and a fast team.
