Motor Vehicle Accident with Working Car Fire

On the morning of April 7th, 2015, the Holbrook FD was activated for a reported 2-Car Motor-Vehicle Accident on Sunrise Highway. Rescue 7 was the first unit to respond out of Headquarters. Upon Arrival, Captain Steve McGerty, notified dispatch that he was establishing Command and to reactivate the alarm as a Working Car Fire as one of the vehicles was now catching fire. The crew of Rescue 7 quickly geared up and cleared the car of all occupants. Engine 4 out of Station 1 arrived, and the crew of Rescue 7 assisted in knocking down all fire. Chief Timo soon arrived and took over command of the scene.

35 Minutes after activation, Chief Timo placed a Signal 4-Under Control as all fire was extinguished and all occupants of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals. All units were released a short time later after all debris was cleared.
