March 6, 2015

On Friday, March 6th, 2015, Holbrook FD was activated for an early morning mutual-aid to Sayville FD for a working residential structure fire. Upon initial arrival, Sayville FD was faced with heavy fire in an empty structure. Due to the amount of fire, elevated wind speeds, and close proximity of neighboring homes, Sayville called Holbrook to assist in battling the blaze. Truck 10 responded out of Headquarters a short time later, with Chief Stack anAsst. Chief Heinnsen also enroute. Upon arrival, SFD Command instructed T-10 to set up and begin master stream operations. After nearly 2 hours, the fire was completely knocked down.

At approximately 07:40hrs, SFD Command placed a Signal 4-Under Control on the alarm. T-10 was released and placed back in service a short time later.
