On Sunday, January 11th, just after midnight, Holbrook FD was activated for a Signal 23-Possible Outside Burn to the rear of 487 Furrows Road. Within minutes of being activated, Chief Stack was enroute, receiving reports that Suffolk Police were on-scene, confirming a working shed fire. Chief Stack made the order to reactivate the alarm for all companies to respond. Within minutes of reactivation, multiple units were on the road. Engine 6 from Headquarters was first on scene and was instructed to stretch a line to the rear of the building. Quint 2 arrived shortly after, providing additional manpower & a water source. Within minutes of arrival, Engine 6's crew knocked down all visible fire with 2's crew providing necessary overhaul.
At 12:24am, Chief Stack placed a Signal 4-Under Control on the alarm. All units were released accordingly once all tools and hose was repacked and placed back in service.
