On Tuesday, July 22nd, Holbrook FD was activated for a Structure Fire on Clair Avenue. The report was for smoke in the house, with a homeowner reporting fire in one of the walls. Upon activation, Asst. Chief Heinssen was the first Chief on the road and due to the seriousness of the report, immediately requested a mutual-aid from Sayville FD for a Truck Crew. Engine 6 was the first unit on the road, responding out of Headquarters with a full engine crew. Upon arrival, Chief Heinssen reported that the homeowner extinguished all visible fire and for E-6's crew to begin opening up and checking for extension.

After thorough searches from both Engine 6 & Sayville Ladder 9's crew, Chiefs Heinssen & Stack placed the alarm under control. Units were released accordingly.
