On September 4 at 1853 hrs. Holbrook was activated for a motor vehicle accident on Patchogue Holbrook Road in the Holbrook Commons. Chief Pendl while enroute was informed that the accident was a vehicle that had gone into the building at 480-05 which was the Shin-Jitsu Self Defense School. Upon arrival at scene an SUV with two occupants had lost control and struck the building entering the waiting room area. Neither the driver or passenger were injured but a parent which had been sitting in the waiting room did suffer back and neck injuries and was transported to Brookhaven Hospital. Town of Islip Fire Marshal and Building Inspector were requested and responded to the scene. Vehicle was removed without further incident and building was secured.
