Fuel Spill at scene of MVA

At 0813 Holbrook was dispatched to a fuel spill at the scene of a prior MVA. Upon arrival Chief Pendl reported a split saddle tank with approximately 75 gallons leaking into the roadway. Prior to his arrival the vehicle owner whose business was adjacent to the accident scene had provided a payloader and sand to dike and abosrb the fuel. Islip Town Haz-Mat was called for a responder and NY State DEC for a spill number. The scene was controled and all units returned by 0905 hrs.
