On Sunday, at approximately 23:51hours, the Holbrook FD was activated for a reported structure fire. Within moments of the alarm activating, Chief Heinssen arrived on-scene to confirm a working structure fire. Chief Heinssen ordered a reactivation of a working structure fire & requested mutual-aide from surrounding districts. Engine 6 from Headquarters arrived a short time later & began an aggressive interior attack. Engine 1, Truck 10, & Sayville Ladder 9 were soon on-scene. E-1's crew provided necessary backup to E-6 while Sayville Ladder 9 & Truck 10's crew began primary searches & ventilation operations.
Within 22 minutes of activation, all fire on the first and second floor was knocked down.
At approximately 00:36hrs, Chief Stack placed a Signal 4-Under Control on the alarm as all fire & hot spots had been extinguished & primary & secondary searches completed. All units were released a short time later accordingly.
